The iRealPro Jazz Project

What is the iRealPro Jazz project?

The iRealPro Jazz project is a project where I collect all the songs (over 1350) from the iRealPro Jazz 1350* playlist into a huge Spotify playlist. I might then later use the material for blog, practice and/or performance material. In other words once the playlist is done the project might evolve into other things within and outside the blog. I will try to put occasional “checkpoints” as to how far the project is going. The Spotify playlist is available below and is filled more and more.

The progress so far:

Month/Year – Number Of Songs

  • 7/2018 – 450
  • 8/2018 – 566
  • 9/2018 – 810
  • 1/2019 – 950
  • 10/2019 – 966

*If you don’t know what iRealPro is you can read the following chapter. It is an app that, as stated by the firm that makes it itself, “offers an easy-to-use tool to help musicians of all levels master their art. Our app simulates a real-sounding band that can accompany you as you practice, and also lets you collect chord charts from your favourite songs for reference.” So basically this means it is an app that has chord sheets of all kinds of songs of all genres. It doesn’t have melodies though, just chords. You can add playlists of different genres or artists from the internet (their forum).
